(G) Luka Syllas – Queens Gaels

Luka Syllas has made a remarkable comeback from the break. Since returning, he has been averaging 19.3 points per game, showcasing an impressive shooting efficiency of 57% from the field and a staggering 54% from beyond the arc. In his last three games, Syllas has also done a
great job distributing the ball, with an average of 5.6 assists. His contributions have been crucial to Queen’s strong 3-0 start to the second half of the season.

(G) Noah Otshudi – Western Mustangs

Noah Otshudi earned his first selection to the Team of the Week after an impressive performance in back-to-back games against Algoma, where he averaged 21.5 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds. A key catalyst for the Western Mustangs, who have won 5 of their last 6 games, Noah is also ranked in the top 10 in both steals and assists, showcasing his all-around impact on the court. The Hamilton native continues to impress this season, and we believe he’s one of the most underrated guards in the OUA.

(G) Lucas Sheets – Western Mustangs

Lucas Sheets earned a spot on this week’s list with solid performances, averaging 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 1.5 steals. As one of two Western players featured, he has made significant contributions on both ends of the floor. An elite sniper for the Mustangs, Sheets ranks 3rd in the OUA for 3-point percentage at 45.9% for the season, highlighting his shooting efficiency. The freshman has been tremendous addition to the Mustangs this season.

(F) Eric Armstrong – Guelph Gryphons

Eric Armstrong had an exceptional showing this past week, helping to lead the Guelph Gryphons to win both of their games against McMaster and Waterloo. Coming off the Christmas break the Gryphons are playing their best basketball of the season and a huge reason for this is the offensive contributions of Eric Armstrong. During his two games he averaged 23.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2 assists, showing off his ability to do everything that his team needs him to, in order to win. He also place’s 11th in the OUA in points per game and 6th in rebounds per game, having his best OUA season in his collegiate career. Look for Eric Armstrong as he looks to maintain his exceptional play this season and continue to be a bright spot for Gryphons basketball.

(F) Yohann Sam – Windsor Lancers

Yohann Sam has emerged as one of the top scorers in the OUA this season, and it’s no wonder he’s keeping the points coming as the season resumes. In the first game after the break, he put up a solid 16 points in a commanding victory over Waterloo. He then followed it up with an impressive performance against Laurier, where he scored 28 points while showcasing his efficiency, shooting 55% from the field and 50% from
beyond the arc. With the way he’s been performing this season, Windsor should be looking to lock up a playoff spot in the next couple of games.
