(G) Mikyle Malabuyoc – (Western Mustangs)

Mikyle had an outstanding week, leading Western to a perfect 2-0 record. Over the two games, he averaged 20.5 points, 7 assists, and 2 rebounds—highlighted by a 25-point performance against Laurentian, where he went a perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line. This marks Mikyle’s first appearance on our Team of the Week, and it’s well deserved. We’ve always believed that Western has some of the top guards in the conference, and Mikyle’s play this week is a perfect example of why
(G) Aaron Rhooms- (TMU Bold)

Aaron Rhooms had another impressive week, showcasing his all-around skills on the court. Even though he faced some challenges with his shooting against Laurier, but his presence was undeniable. He notched a solid double-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, and a block, making an impact on both ends of the floor. In his next game, he rebounded beautifully, delivering a solid performance with an efficient 21-point double-double, adding another 10 rebounds to his tally. His shooting splits were impressive, posting 77% from the field and 66% from beyond the arc. Aaron continues to shine as a key player this season.
(G) Matteo Zagar – (Western Mustangs)

This past week Matteo Zagar of the Western Mustangs has continued to dominate the OUA offensively as well as defensively. Zagar averaged a double- double with 10.5 points and 12 rebounds posting a monster 17 points and 17 rebounds in a win over Nipissing. With these numbers it’s not surprising Zagar is 2nd in the OUA in rebounds, however his scoring is not to be overlooked as Zagar is one of the most efficient players in OUA
basketball. He leads the OUA in field goal percentage with a monster 65% as Zagar establishes himself as one of the premier players in the OUA this season and is definitely a player teams need to look out for.
(F) Lennart Weber – Toronto Varsity Blues

Lennart Weber was a nightmare for opposing teams on the boards this week, averaging a double double. Weber averaged an impressive 14 points and 13 rebounds this past week, posting an impressive 22 points and 19 rebounds against the Queens Gaels. All season Weber has continued to a be problem on the offensive and defensive glass as he leads the OUA in rebounds, averaging 9.7 rebounds per game. Weber’s play has been a spark of light for the Blues as they attempt to put together wins to climb to the top of their conference.
(F) Augustas Brazdeikis – Carleton Ravens

Augustas Brazdeikis has been on fire this week, showcasing remarkable consistency in his performances (He makes his 3rd apperance on our Team of the Week). In his first matchup against Guelph, he lit up the scoreboard with 16 points, knocking down 50% of his three-pointers and shooting an impressive 54% from the field. But he didn’t stop there—his next game was even more electrifying. He poured in 28 points, shooting a stunning 63% from the field! This hot streak has been a game-changer for Carleton, keeping their undefeated season alive and kicking. As we edge closer to the halfway point of the season, this level of play will help them finish the season strong
